Ben Thorpe, a quiet and reserved family man, reluctantly returns to his hometown with his wife, Paige, and their four-year-old son, Noah, after the unexpected death of his estranged father. They soon discover that Ben’s father, a once-prominent member of this small town, had become a recluse and was struggling to function for some time. Paige, who has noticed some emotional distance growing between her and Ben, can’t help but worry about what the future might hold for her husband.

As Paige attempts to use the circumstances of their trip to get Ben to open up about his past, the Thorpe family begins to encounter some strange phenomena in Ben’s childhood home. When howling screams echoing from the forest behind the house escalate into unnerving encounters with a paranormal entity, the family has seen enough and makes the wise decision to return home before things get worse.
